Receipt of the payment and/or of the deposit for the "Stanford 2024 Seminar: Siena and the Jewels of Tuscany " shall be deemed agreement to the terms and conditions as outlined below.

PRICES

"Stanford 2024 Seminar: Siena and the Jewels of Tuscany"

PRICES INCLUDE: Accommodation for eight overnights, in single, twin-bedded, or European queen size bedroom, at the choice of the participant. All rooms feature an en suite bathroom and air conditioning. Daily breakfast. Five lunches and seven dinners. Three Italian language lesson sessions. Two lectures with Professor D'Alimonte, two lectures with Dr. Campanai and one Q&A Session with Professor Mammarella. Guided tours per itinerary, including pertinent admissions. Transportation to/from the activities by deluxe air-conditioned motorcoach.

PRICE GUARANTEE: The prices are guaranteed as soon as full payment is received. Before full payment is received, Effetto Italy reserves the right to adjust the prices according to currency fluctuations and to pass on any increases in Government taxes. A full refund will be made to participants not wishing to pay increases, provided a notice in writing is received by Effetto Italy no later than 7 days after the notification of a price change.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS: In order to firm, an initial deposit of Euro 1.000 per person is required by and by February 20^th, 2024. For your convenience, Effetto Italy honors major credit cards. No reservation is considered confirmed until a deposit is processed. The final balance will be due by by May 20^th, 2024. If the balance is not received, Effetto Italy reserves the right to cancel the booking and apply the cancellation policy as outlined below. In order for the seminar documents to be released, full payment must be processed.

ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation is classified by Government ratings. In case of serious emergencies, Effetto Italy reserves the right to make substitutions with accommodation of equivalent or higher rating.

RESERVATION CHANGES FOR ANCILLARY SERVICES: Should any ancillary travel service be reserved through Effetto Italy, a Euro 25 Administration Fee will be assessed for each change made to the booking after the travel documents have been released. Changes made between 15 days prior and the day of departure may result in additional incurred expenses.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: U.S. citizens are required to hold a valid U.S. passport for travel to Europe. Non-citizens may need an additional visa and should consult their consulate or embassy.

DOCUMENT DELIVERY: All documents for ancillary services are sent via electronic or traceable mail. If overnight shipping is requested, a Euro 25 shipping fee for delivery will be added.

CANCELLATION POLICY: No penalty applies if a cancellation is forwarded to: mcandeloro@effettoitaly.com by May 19^th, thus a full refund for any deposit paid will be granted. From these dates on and till 22 days prior to the start of either Seminar: Euro -800 plus incurred expenses will be retained; 21 days to 7 days prior: 45% of the total cost of the package plus incurred expenses will be retained. No refund for cancellations received less than 7 days prior to departure. Effetto Italy's cancellation fees supersede any such policies by its vendors. No refund for unused services or for any unused portion of a tour.

RESPONSIBILITY: Effetto Italy, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, including any person or entity employed or utilized by Effetto Italy in any country will not be held responsible for events such as injury, loss, damage, accident, delay or expense beyond their control, caused without limitation by acts of God, war, strikes, acts of terrorism, incidents of politically-motivated violence, sickness, epidemic, pandemic or quarantine, government restrictions or regulations, and, in the absence of their own gross negligence, arising from the use or selection of or from any act or omission by any bus or car rental agency, steamship, airline, railroad, taxi or trip services, hotel, restaurant or other firm, agency, company or individual. Effetto Italy reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any trip or seminar at any time and a refund for the unused portion of the tour is the limit of its liability in such an instance. All bookings are subject to the Terms and Conditions imposed by Effetto Italy. Effetto Italy will make no refund in the event of a supplier delay, overbooking, cancellation, or not used portions of services. Car rental provided under Ancillary Services and subsequently programs featuring car rentals are subject to the rental terms.

LUGGAGE: Luggage travels at the risk of the passenger and Effetto Italy is not responsible for any delay of, loss or damage to it or its contents. Participants are urged to carry appropriate insurance.
CLAIMS: Claims must be received in writing within 30 days after the end of the trip and will be acknowledged within 60 days.

TRAVEL INSURANCE PLAN: Travel insurance is not included in the Seminar's package price and strongly recommended. Participants should make sure they are adequately insured for the trip.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: Effetto Italy is proud to offer 24-hour emergency (Ph. +39-335-309849) assistance in Europe to its clients while traveling.
