Into the Wine
Wine tasting is an art for Italian people. Not only the act of drinking, it’s also the food pairing:
spicy cheeses, dry salami, whole food breads, giant olives and one, two, three, four different
wines in between. Excellent wines these days are to be found almost everywhere in the
country: from the North-West districts of Barolo or Gattinara, to the Alpine region in Sud Tyrol,
the North Eastern lands of Prosecco and Valpolicella. Then down in central Italy, in Tuscany’s
Chianti and Montalcino, in Umbria and Marches, within the young wineries in Puglia and in
Avellino, in Sicily and in Sardinia.
